Shauna founded WAVE YOGA™ as a tribute to her deep spiritual connection to the ocean and as a reflection of her 20-year yoga journey around the world. Through the evolution of her own vinyasa yoga practice and the last decade of pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting, Wave Yoga’s offerings were born. Shauna is passionate about integrating yoga into our lives: invoking small daily practices when we are too busy to attend yoga class, practicing yoga principles in our relationships and careers, and relating to our kids in a gentle, fun and loving way. This is our daily challenge!
Shauna is registered as a 500 E-RYT with Yoga Alliance, holds specialties in Prenatal/Postnatal Yoga, Birth Preparation, Infant Massage, Mums & Bubs Yoga, Kids & Family Yoga, and Yoga Trance Dance™, and has more than 4000 teaching hours. She has a gift for working with families and volunteers her time to specific communities, such as special needs children and victims of domestic abuse.
Before becoming a yoga teacher, Shauna studied environmental conservation (B.Sc.) and marine science (M.Sc.). She has worked in marine conservation, as a scuba diving instructor, researcher, and marine scientist. She has logged thousands of hours underwater observing marine life, protecting coral reefs, and working with local communities. When not teaching or parenting, Shauna loves to travel, go the beach, dance, and enjoy healthy food.
My name is Vani, as a child of Hindu Bhrahmin (scholars) family I was introduced to Yoga at very early stage of my life but I started my formal training to become a Yoga teacher in 2003. I have done Bachelor of Sciences in Nutrition and Clinical Dietetics and post graduated in Masters of Sciences in Yoga Therapy from India. I am inspired from the life changing results of the Yoga practices and my vision is to spread it in its true meaning so that people can achieve their complete well –being (physically, mentally and spiritually). Apart from Yoga, I love Indian classical dancing, food and travelling.
